Pat was born on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1935 in Duncan, to Steven and Rubye (Neal) Fulton. She grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School. On April 11, 1952, Pat married the love of her life, Henry O. Tompkins in Cooke County, TX. The two made their home in Southeast Texas for 30 years and then moved back to Duncan in 1992. They had shared 54 wonderful years together until Hank passed on December 31, 2006. Pat loved bringing joy and color to the world she lived in. She did this by creating stained glass artwork and creating flower arrangements. She grew an amazing bed of Iris' of all colors in her backyard. She loved to view them while sitting in her living room chair. She was always busy doing things, whether it was creating her art, tending her flowers or working crossword puzzles. If it brought joy, you could count on Patsy working at it. She also loved her family very much and cherished the time she spent watching westerns with her son, Jeff. And last, she loved playing with her “rotten cat”, Velvet. Pat was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include, son, Steven "Jeff" Tompkins of Nederland, TX, her granddaughter, Kristen Placette and husband Brandon of Port Arthur, TX, and one sister, Linda Garvin of Norman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Rubye Fulton, husband Hank Tompkins, daughter, Pamela Sue Burnside and her husband Chris Burnside, and two brothers, Bill Fulton and Steve Fulton.
