Obituary for Paul Ray Harris
Ninnekah: Paul Ray Harris, 78, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 in Oklahoma City.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Rush Springs.
Visitation will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs on Thursday, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
Paul was born Monday, February 21, 1944 in Los Angeles California, to Paul Jack and Marilea (Ashton) Harris. He attended schools in Graham, OK and Mesa, AZ. Paul also attended Cameron University and studied electrical. He also served as a proud member of the United States Army. He married Judy Hughes December 29, 1974 in Mesa, AZ. Paul and Judy were married for more than 4 years when she preceded him in death on March 20, 1979. He later married Jackie Anne Hughes, January 9, 1982. Paul and Jackie celebrated more than 39 wonderful years of marriage until she preceded him in death on March 9, 2021. He enjoyed tinkering with things in his shop, riding on back roads in the country, 4-wheeling, and fishing. Paul was known to be quite the story teller and he often teased his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by many.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Tammie Harris and Toni Harris, both of Ninnekah, 5 grandchildren, Desiree Long, Traci Loyd, Evan Loyd, Brittney Loyd, and Slade Sain, 2 brothers, Randall Harris and wife Betty of Rush Springs, and Joe Harris and wife Jackie of Marlow, 2 sisters, Sylvia Boyster and husband James of Rush Springs, sister, Mary Kathyrine Leverett and husband John of Wynnewood.
In addition to his first wife, Judy, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Jackie, his parents, and sister-in-law, Cleta "Mimi" Harris.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Julian, Donde Kilgore, Mann Boyster, Joe Harris Jr., Justin Hart, and Donal Harris
