Obituary for Peggy Louise Corcorran
Marlow: Peggy Louise Corcorran, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Duncan, at the age of 77.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at the Lakeside Baptist Church, with Rev. Shawn Bitner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Peggy was born Friday, February 20, 1942 in Okmulgee, OK, to Granville Andrew and Mary (Spurgeon) Griffith. She graduated from Duncan High School and went on to earn a Associates Degree from Oklahoma Missionary Baptist College. She lived in the Marlow area for over 40 years. Peggy married the love of her life, Richard Donald Corcorran in Duncan on October 21, 1960. They enjoyed 47 wonderful years together before his passing on March 12, 2008. Peggy worked as a secretary for many years for the Utah Missions and loved her work dearly. She was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church where she was very active and taught Sunday School for a number of years. Peggy enjoyed going to Falls Creek. She loved to garden and take pictures but Peggy's most cherished time was spent with her family who adored her.
Survivors include, 2 sons, Ronald Corcorran and wife Cassandra of Marlow, Richard D.Corcorran, Jr. and wife Susan of Lubbock, TX, 6 grandchildren, Donnie Corcorran, Ronnie Corcorran and wife Nikki, Tori Apel and husband Brody, Ashley Corcorran, Reece Corcorran, Amanda McClanahan and husband Ben, 11 great-grandchildren, Braydon Apel, Melody Apel, Devin Corcorran, Makenna Brown, Myles Brown, Paige Corcorran, Mia McClanahan, Hailee Corcorran, Noah Corcorran, James T. "Captain" McClanahan, Aaron Brown. She was also survived by 2 brothers, G.A. Griffith and wife Diane of AR, Richard Griffith and wife Gayla of Marlow, as well as numerous nieces and nephew.
Along with her husband of 47 years, Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be: Donnie Corcorran, Ronnie Corcorran, Reece Corcorran, Brody Apel, Ben McClanahan, Steve Broughton, and Roy Brown.
