Vian: Peggy "Peg" Marie Gibson, 77, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 in Vian.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Eastside Baptist Church, with Rev. David Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Peg was born, Friday, September 1, 1944 in Duncan, OK, to Henry and Lena
(Holt) Davis. Peg attended Hope and Bray Schools in Oklahoma. She married Carroll (Gib) Doss Gibson,
December 23, 1963 in Wichita Falls, TX. Peg had 2 daughters: Sue and Mary and a son: Gary. Gib passed away
Tuesday, November 17, 2015 and they were married 51 years before his passing. She lived in Marlow for
76 years before moving to Vian, OK with her daughter, Sue Nooner. Peg worked for Gregston Nursing
Home and Humphrey Lake Concession in the past. Most of her years she was a stay-at-home mom and
housewife. Peg enjoyed playing bingo and wahoo, going to garage sales and spending time with her
family. She attended Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow before having health problems.
Survivors include, 2 Sisters: Lois Ensminger and Joann Brosh of Marlow, OK; Daughter: Sue Fox-Nooner and
husband Gerald of Vian, OK; Son: Gary Gibson of Marlow, OK; 9 Grandchildren: Bryan Willis, Shawn
Slawson, Travis Slawson, Sharde’ Nooner, Zechariah Nooner, Alexis Seymour, Aaron Nooner, Joseph
Slawson and Amanda Scott; and numerous great grandchildren.
Peg was preceded in death by parents: Henry and Lena Davis, husband: Gib Gibson, daughter: Mary Slawson; 2 brothers: Lloyd Davis and Q.B.
Davis; 2 sisters: Florence Blundell and Dorothy Elroy. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
