Obituary for Richard Paul Crenwelge

Marlow: Richard Paul Crenwelge, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 in Marlow, at the age of 60.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the Glory Bound Church, with Rev. David Woods officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Richard was born Wednesday, July 8, 1959 in Elk City, to Joe Barton and Carolyn (Schreck) Crenwelge. He had lived in Marlow area most of his life and had graduated from Marlow High School. Richard married his loving wife, Anita Skitt on October 15, 1986 in Wichita Falls, Texas; they were married for 33 wonderful years before his passing. Richard worked in the oilfield as a driller for more than 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed eating, raising chickens, and rebuilding cars. Richard loved to fish and animals, but what he loved the most was just being a dad and PawPaw.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Crenwelge of the home, 2 sons, Robert Crenwelge of Marlow, Christopher Crenwelge and wife Paige of Orlando, FL, 2 grandchildren, Timber Crenwelge, Sway Crenwelge, his mother, Carolyn Crenwelge of Marlow, and step-mother, Betty Barton of Marlow. He is also survived by 2 brothers, William Barton of Wilson, Wayne Barton of Velma, 2 sisters, Donna Barton of Tatum, Peggy Whaley and husband Donnie of Marlow, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Joe Barton, a sister, Tonya Dutton, 5 brothers, Jackie Ray Crenwelge, Billy Dan Crenwelge, Dale Lee Barton, Bobby Barton, and Ricky Barton.
