Obituary for Ricky Charles Kimbro
Marlow: Ricky "Grizz" Charles Kimbro, 65, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Duncan.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Lawrence Grishom and Robert Cook officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, February 13, 1:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Monday, February 14, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, and Tuesday, February 15, 8:30 AM- 12:00 PM.
Ricky was born Tuesday, October 30, 1956 in Marlow, to Fredrick and Myrna (Dorman) Kimbro. He was a graduate of Marlow High School. Ricky lived in Marlow all of his life and worked at Wal-Mart as a floor associate for 10 years. He married LaDonna Searcy in Bray, on November 17, 1974. They shared over 37 years of marriage together until she preceded him in death on April 13, 2012. Ricky recently married Mary Robinson on July 30, 2021. He enjoyed being Santa every year for Wal-Mart and loved seeing the smiles he brought to all the children's faces. Ricky enjoyed riding his bike, going on poker runs, reading, listening to his music and playing it really loud! He enjoyed spending time with his family and building things with his grandkids. Ricky will be missed by many.
Survivors include wife, Mary of the home, daughter, Eden Cook and husband Robert of Norman, granddaughter, Ce'Nedra Cook, grandson, Wesley Cook, 2 brothers, Brett Kimbro and wife Sonya of Marlow, and Mark Kimbro of Empire, sister, Cheryl Sandford and husband Timmy of Marlow, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to his wife LaDonna, Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Heidi Kimbro, and brother-in-law, Tommy Searcy.
