Obituary for Robert Eddie Flurry

Duncan: Robert Eddie Flurry, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in Duncan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Marlow, with Pastor James Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 24, from 5:00-8:30 PM.

Robert was born Monday, February 21, 1944 in Perry, OK to Virgil and Ruth (Pennypacker) Flurry. He was a 1962 graduate of Doyle High School. Robert grew up in the Doyle/Foster area. He lived in Sulphur for 16 years prior to living in Duncan, which is where he's called home for the last 29 years. Robert married the love of his life, Judy Stultz, on December 1, 1967, in Duncan. He and Judy celebrated more than 54 wonderful years of marriage together at the time of his passing. Robert was a certified welder and was employed by Halliburton for over 40 years before retiring. He played in the Halliburton Softball League and was a member of the American Legion. Robert enjoyed horses, gardening, and watching his granddaughter golf. He loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and taking them on rides on his antique tractor. Robert will be forever loved and missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; 2 sons, Robert Virgil Flurry of Sulphur, and Jay Daniel Flurry and wife Angelene of Duncan; daughter, Kay Lynn Flurry Nimmo and husband Jim of Wolfe City, TX; 3 grandchildren, Hannah Lauren Nimmo, Parker Jane Flurry, and Riley Eddie Flurry; 2 brothers, Bill Flurry and wife Marie of Sullivan, MO, and Richard Flurry and wife Betty of Piedmont, OK; 2 sisters, Dixie Gildon, and Deborah Turlington and husband Richard of Osage Beach, MO.

Robert was preceded in death by infant son, Rocky, his parents, brother, Dolph Flurry, and sister, Mary Kate Condit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family donate blood.
