Obituary for Robert Harold Keaton

Duncan: Robert Harold Keaton, 68, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Duncan, OK.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on the following days: Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 8:30AM - 8:30 PM, and Thursday, January 6, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

The family will be accepting visitors on Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Robert was born Tuesday, July 7, 1953 in Oklahoma City, to William Monroe and Mary Francis (Short) Keaton. He was a graduate of Edmond High School and attended Oklahoma State University. Robert worked as a sales manager at the Ford dealership for 40 years. He married his soul mate, Dorothy Gillette, in Wichita Falls, TX, on February 17, 1982. Robert and Dorothy celebrated 39 wonderful years of marriage together. He enjoyed building and working on cars, fishing, guns, NASCAR, and playing snooker. Robert was a kind man who loved doing for others. He loved spending time with his grandsons and building stuff. Robert will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Micheal Chad Dyer and wife Mellissa of Central; 3 grandchildren, Chelsey Ann Hurlocker and Matt Denham, Conner Hurlocker, and Michael Bailey Dyer and wife Makayla; 2 great-grandsons, Milo Dyer,and Easton Denham; and sister, Francis Kerr. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Candice Annette Hurlocker, and sister, Julia Rawson.
