Obituary for Robert Martin Schwenn Sr.
Duncan: Robert "Bob" Martin Schwenn, 91, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Duncan.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ, with Leonard Keele officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 8, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Bob was born Tuesday, March 4, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA, to Herman and Lillian (Hennings). He was a 1948 graduate of Wilson High School in Long Beach, CA. Bob married the love of his life, Delois Jane Percival, in Albuquerque, NM, on December 27, 1953. He and Delois celebrated nearly 65 wonderful years of marriage until she preceded him in death on November 10, 2018. Bob was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Marlow Lions Club. Bob taught at Marlow High School for 2 years and he also owned and operated Bob and D's Laundry. He loved traveling and visiting all of the United States Capitals, and he went to Hawaii every year at Christmas time. Bob loved his family and he cherished the time they all spent together. He will be missed by many.
Bob's survivors include 3 sons, Robert Schwenn and wife Virginia of Raleigh, NC, Randall Claude Schwenn of Littleton, CO, and Rodger Schwenn of Lawton; daughter, Debbie Schwenn of Duncan; 6 grandchildren, Samuel Buzzard and wife Sara, Casey Schwenn, Carey Schwenn, Gabrielle Schwenn, Whitney Schwenn, and Seth Schwenn and wife Whitnee; 4 great-grandchildren, Van A. Buzzard, Carys Buzzard, Ridley Schwenn, and Riley Schwenn; sister, Carol Jean Hardwick of Huntington Beach, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his loving wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Donald Lee Schwenn.
