Duncan: Ronnie Lynn Newsom, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 57.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the Duncan Cemetery, with Wes Rightmire officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Ronnie was born Wednesday, April 19, 1961 in Altus, to Jerry Paul and Peggy Joyce (Berry) Newsom. He graduated from Duncan High School and lived in the Duncan area most of his life. Ronnie married the love of his life, Brenda Strong in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 1, 1980. They had been married for 38 wonderful years before his passing. He was a welder and made it his career for over 38 years. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs. Ronnie was a member of the Flat Cams Car Club and enjoyed restoring old cars as well as attending car shows.

Survivors include, his wife, Brenda Newsom of the home, 2 daughters, Brandy Joe Newsom of Duncan, Kaylynn Courtney Newsom of Duncan, a granddaughter, Shaylynn Nycole Newsom of Duncan, a sister, Connie Burton of KS, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by 2 uncles, Lloyd Phillips of Marlow, Tommy Newsom of Marlow, and an aunt, Vickie Briones of Duncan.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Clinton Ray Newsom.
