Obituary for Rosser Martin Robinson

Marlow: Rosser Martin Robinson, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Duncan, at the age of 95.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Rosser was born Wednesday, December 24, 1924 in Stephens County, to William Lee and Sarah Elizabeth (Williams) Robinson. He was born, raised, and lived in the Bray area all of his life, graduating from Bray High School and farming and ranching in the area. Rosser married the love of his life, Mary Jane Alexander in Marlow on October 1, 1945; they were married for 66 wonderful years before Mary's passing on September 4, 2012. Rosser loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He loved to have a good time and was always good natured. Rosser enjoyed joking around with people. He loved to work with his horses and considered them his pets. Rosser was a member of the Bray Missionary Baptist Church, where he was very active in the church serving as a deacon and teaching Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include 2 sons, William "Bill" Charles Robinson of Bray, Ted Martin Robinson of Marlow, a daughter, Mary Elaine Smith of Marlow, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Along with his wife, Rosser was preceded in death by a son, David Joe Robinson, a daughter, Jeanette Carol Robinson, his parents, and a brother, Roscoe Lee Robinson.


Pallbearers will be: Ben Whaley, Sam Carter, Taos Robinson, Joe Robinson, Kenny Maxwell, and Mark Williams.
