Obituary for Sandra Kay Hanson
Marlow: Sandra Kay Hanson, 76, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Tulsa.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral And Cremation Service, with Dan Myers officiating and Joe Chapman assisting. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 23, 8:30 AM-8:30 PM.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM.
Sandra was born Friday, May 17, 1946 in Albany, GA, to Clarence and Helen (Wilson) Ezzell. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education at Northeastern and worked as a teacher for 38 years before retiring.
She married the love of her life, Harold "Pete" Warren Hanson on December 20, 1968 in Sapulpa. Sandra and Pete celebrated more than 52 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in November 2021. She was a member of Chisholm Trail Church of Christ and she loved her church dearly. She loved her family and cherished any time she spent with them. Sandra will be missed by many.
Survivors include her son, Michael Warren Hanson and wife Tabitha of Nashville, AR; daughter, Terri Moore of Rose Hill, KS; 7 grandchildren, Grant Moore, Tyler Hanson and wife Morgan, Austin Hanson, Carys Moore, Aubrey Moore, Drake Mason, and Corbin Mason; great-grandchild, Parker Hanson; sister, Sherry Smith and husband Joe of Sapulpa; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be: Drake Mason, Corbin Mason, Tyler Hanson, Austin Hanson, Grant Moore, and Mike Hanson.
