Obituary for Sandra Fay Whitehead (Hallmark)

Marlow: Sandra Fay Whitehead, won her victory over Leukemia on Monday, May 18, 2020 in Duncan, at the age of 84.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2020, at the Marlow Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Sandra was born Friday, June 28, 1935 in Grady County, to Finnis and Gladys (Apple) Hallmark. She lived in the Marlow area all of her life and had graduated from the Marlow High School with the Class of 1954. Sandra married her loving husband, James Norvin Whitehead in Marlow on October 16, 1953; they were married for 58 wonderful years before James's passing on August 25, 2012. Sandra worked as a nurse for more than 12 years- one of the first CMA nurse's to graduated. She raised white mice and rats for medical research for 35 years. Sandra was one of the co-owner along with Gene Watson of Jamie D's Club and Arena in Oklahoma City for 12 years. She was a big fan of Gene's and enjoyed many concerts with her husband as well as dancing the night away. Sandra enjoyed fishing with a cane pole in one hand and a diet coke in the other hand. She loved watching sports, working crossword puzzles, and was always up to meeting new friends. Sandra loved her family and friends dearly.

Survivors include 2 sons, Barry Whitehead of Marlow, Alan Whitehead of Duncan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Hallmark, and 3 sisters, Norene Gamble, Novene Hallmark, JoAnn Howard.

The family of Sandra wanted to give a special thank you to the Mayes Health Watch and Home Care, Chisholm Trail Hospice, Stephaine Brown for her care, Dr. Mays and his staff.
