Obituary for Sharon Kay Headley

Duncan: Sharon Kay Headley, 69, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Meridian.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, January 20, 2021, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Gerald Helms officiating. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Sharon was born Tuesday, August 7, 1951 in Lawton, to Curtis Wesley and Margaret Lavada (Williams) Eakins. She attended school at Fletcher and Sterling. Sharon met Ronnie Joe Headley, and they married on June 28, 1968 in Sterling, and celebrated 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. She spent her life working as a homemaker and tending to her family. Sharon enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing ten thousand, and tropical fish. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. There was nothing Sharon loved more than being a wife and mother and she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include, 3 daughters, Anita Young and husband Randy of Comanche, Rhonda Archer and Johnny of Comanche, and Kerri DeGreef and husband Charles of Oak Grove, KY, 13 grandchild, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Linda McBane and husband Weltha of Noble, Doris Ann Austin and husband Mick of Apache, and Hootie (Virginia) Pierce of Duncan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include, father-in-law, Clyde Headley, sister-in-law, Aquila Helms and husband Gerald, and brother-in-law, Rodney Headley and wife Darlene

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers, Wayne Eakins, and Steve Eakins, mother-in-law, Javan Headley, sister-in-law, Pam Eakins, sister-in-law, Judy Bortell, and brother-in-law, Billy Pierce.
