Obituary for Sue H. Schrock (Baker)

Marlow: Sue H. Schrock, 87, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Marlow, with Dr. Joe Ligon and Waylon Neeld officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Sue was born Tuesday, April 9, 1935 in Clinton, KY, to James and Eupha (Hill) Baker. She married Arthur "Buddy" Schrock at Virginia Beach in 1963. Sue and Buddy celebrated many wonderful years of marriage together until he preceded her in death on September 8, 1999. She lived in Kentucky before moving to Marlow in 1972. Sue owned and operated The Generation Golf Course until her retirement. She also owned a daycare and worked as a CNA over the years. Sue enjoyed reading, cooking, people watching, and she was known for her storytelling. She looked forward to her annual trips to Kentucky to visit her sister, Barbara. Sue was an animal lover and often visited the Humane Society so she could see all of the animals. She was known by many as Mom, Mrs. Sue, the lady behind the counter at the golf course, Nana, and Grandma Warden. Sue was loved by her family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Ricketts and husband Keith of Walters, 3 sons, Doug Schrock, Charles Lynn Schrock, and Wesley Schrock, 9 grandchildren, Sandi Epperson, Christi Neeld, Jamie Schrock, Jayden Schrock, Jacob Schrock, Harley Frizzel, Wyatt Frizzell, and Leo Cundiff, 6 great-grandchildren, Justice Case, LAKE Epperson, Gunner Neeld, Cooper Epperson, Kole Schrock, and Kyler Schrock, sister, Barbara Reed of Benton, KY, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Bambi Lyn Nickerson.


Sue's family ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Stephens County Humane Society (or other shelters in surrounding areas) in her name.
