Obituary for Sylvia Fern Lemons (Bartlett)
Duncan: Sylvia Fern Lemons, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in Lawton, at the age of 80.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 13, 2020, at the Duncan Cemetery, with Rev. Lynn Parkhurst officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Sylvia was born Thursday, April 20, 1939 in Fletcher, to John and Ola (Hinch) Bartlett. Sylvia had lived in the Stephens county area most of her life and had graduated from Sterling High School. Sylvia married the love of her life, Ronald David Lemons, Sr. in Wichita Falls on November 17, 1958; they were married for 50 wonderful years before Ronald's passing on October 14, 2017. Sylvia loved to fish and being at the ocean. She enjoyed playing board games and watching western as well as listening to country music. Sylvia loved her animals but what she loved the dearest was just spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Richie Lemons and spouse Alfie Gustafson of Peaster, TX, a daughter, Rhonda Lemons and spouse Kelly Bird of Duncan, daughter, Lisa Lemons-Whitehorn and spouse Barbara Whitehorn of Asheville, NC, a daughter-in-law, Donna Lemons of Duncan, a grandson, Louis Tyson of Asheville, NC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Ronald David Lemons, Jr., her parents, her brother, Wayne O. Bartlett, and 2 sisters, Mittie Williams, Maeloa Spivey.
