Obituary

Duncan: Tamera Ewing, 60, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Duncan.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday,
February 26th, from 6:00-9:00 PM, at Southwind Hills Venue in Goldsby (468 SW 24th AVE, Goldsby, OK 73093).
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and
Cremation Services in Marlow.

Mom, grammy, and wife, Tammy, died of complications from Covid 19 on
Wednesday, February 17 surrounded by her husband and children. She was 60.
Tamera Gail Green Ewing, was born to Jerry and Ozelle Lowe on June 25,1960
in Bridgeport, Texas. In Oklahoma she attended Grove Elementary School and
Shawnee High School where she was a cheerleader. She fell in love early and
married Rick Green in 1978. They lived in Little Axe where they were well known
in the community and raised their two children, Cory and Leesha. Tammy and
Rick were married for nearly 36 years until he lost his battle with cancer. She
found love again and married Tom Ewing in March of 2019 with whom she
shared her life until her death.
Tammy spent the first ten years of her adult life as a wife and mother before
starting a job with Little Axe Public Schools as an assistant to the superintendent.
She worked in this capacity for nearly a decade until she left her position to start
her career as an administrative assistant at Oklahoma Orthopedic Institute.
Tammy worked in this profession for nearly 15 years. Her devotion and work
ethic were second to none. In recent years Tammy transitioned back to the
home.
She was a lover of summertime, her pool, the sun with its warmth, and the way it
made her feel and look, inside and out. Tammy loved books. Her intellectual
curiosity led to an insatiable reading habit. She loved high heel shoes. In fact,
wearing those shoes was one of her granddaughters favorite things to do while at
grammy’s house. Her nails were never undone or unpainted, so her nail ladies
seemed a part of her family. As she spent time getting her nails done, they would
talk about life. Tammy was always interested and held captive by what you were
telling her and listened attentively. To those closest to her (and those she just
met), you were darlin’, honey, or baby. With her warm and wonderful smile, she
had a magical way of making you feel like you were the most important person in
the room to her, because you were. If you were loved by anyone she loved, she
loved you too; she was fiercely loyal. She loved life and adored her family and
friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband Rick Green, father and
mother-in-law Bill and Peggy, older sister Diane Blakemore, and her father Jerry
Lowe.

She is survived by her husband Tom Ewing, son Cory Green and wife Martisha,
daughter Leesha Manovsky and husband Chris; grandchildren, Cody, Cole,
Kylie, Cade, and Cali, mother Ozelle Scrutchins and husband Bob, Brother Mark
Lowe and wife Katherine, sister Amanda Jarantowski, sister-in-law Suzi Green,
nephew Tyler Green and wife Shelly; also Kevin Ewing, April Ewing McBride and
husband Donnie, and their children Christy, William, Joshua, Julianna, and John
David as well as numerous other family and friends.
