Obituary for Twyola Dean Fincher

Duncan: Twyola Dean Fincher, 88, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Duncan.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation for Twyola will be at the funeral home on Saturday, August 27, 8:30 AM-8:30 PM, Sunday, August 28, 1:00-8:30 PM, and Monday, 8:30 AM-1:00 PM.

Twyola was born Saturday, July 21, 1934 in Marlow, to Gordon Orlando and Edna (McDaniel) Elroy. She trusted Jesus as her savior when she was a young girl and went to her Heavenly home on August 25, 2022. She enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful flowers. She was an excellent seamstress as well. She was the oldest of nine children. There were six brothers and two sisters. She grew up in Marlow and graduated from Marlow High School in 1952. She married Wilburn Ray Stevens on August 2, 1952 and from that union three children were born. Karen Stevens, Randall Stevens, and Brenda Stevens. They were married for fourteen short years before his unexpected passing in October 1966. She loved him dearly. She found love again when she met Lloyd Austin Fincher. They were married on December 26, 1968. She became the mother of his 7 year old daughter, Karla Fincher. That marriage lasted 53 years and ended due to a brief illness and death. Family was important to her. Twyola was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always willing to help solve a problem. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Karen Waldo and husband Doug, Randall Stevens, Brenda Paul, all of Duncan, and step-daughter, Karla Kerce and husband Tim of Edmond; 8 grandchildren, Jason Waldo, Colby Waldo, Krissi Bumpass, Beau Paul, Lessli Walkup, Kristin Folks, Alec Kerce, and Colton Kerce; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn Elroy and wife Nellie of Marlow; sister, Nada Brown and husband Danny of Marlow; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Twyola was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.

Pallbearers will be: Colby Waldo, Jason Waldo, Beau Paul, Tito Walkup, Alec Kerce, Colton Kerce, and Chase Folks.
