Obituary for Valdon Russell Brownlee Jr.

Marlow: Valdon "Russ" Russell Brownlee, Jr., passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Marlow, at the age of 70.

At the family's request cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Russ was born Tuesday, December 14, 1948 in Ardmore, OK to Valdon Russell Sr.and Katherine (Waggoner) Brownlee. He lived in various location throughout his years including Angleton, Houston and Marlow. Russ graduated from Houston High School and attended San Jacinto Community College. He worked as a correctional officer, police officer, and highway maintenance throughout his life. Russ loved golfing and had been to most golf courses within driving distance. He enjoyed hunting for golf balls and going to the movies. Russ enjoyed eating especially pot luck dinners at the church. He liked watching westerns on TV. Russ loved his diet Dr. Pepper and always knew when they were on sale. He would nearly drive anywhere for a good deal. Russ was known to always be wearing his shorts and t-shirts. He was a member of the Rush Springs Revival Center.

Survivors include, a son, Tim Brownlee and wife Katy of Canton, TX, a daughter, Kristi Lynn Brownlee of Nacaduches, 4 grandchildren, Katherine Lynn Brownlee, Johnny Levi Brownlee, Ethan Scott Brownlee, and James Mathew Brownlee. He was also survived by numerous cousins.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents.
