Obituary for Virginia Aliene Harrison

Duncan: Virginia "Aliene" Harrison, 82, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Duncan.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2021, at the Rock Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Terra Sisco officiating. Burial is under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Virginia Aliene Harrison was born Sunday, July 17, 1938 in Faxon, Oklahoma, to Ross and Virgie (Denton) Taylor. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. In 1957, Aliene married the love of her life, William "Bill" Harrison. Bill and Aliene celebrated 54 years of marriage. Aliene and Bill made their home and raised thier two boys in Yukon, Oklahoma. Aliene moved to Duncan to be closer to her family and had resided there for the last 5 years. She enjoyed many things, but nothing topped dancing and reading. Aliene enjoyed visiting with friends, whether in person or in the last few years by telephone. She loved spending time with her family and being Grammy to her grand children and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include, son, Keith Harrison and wife Marva, of Newalla, 4 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, sister, Doris Taylor of Duncan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harrison, son, Michael Dean Harrison, her parents, Ross Taylor and Virgie (Denton) Taylor, 2 brothers, Gene Ross Taylor and Jimmy Wayne Taylor, and sister, Alta Faye Taylor.
