Obituary for Virginia Lou Turner

Marlow: Virginia Lou Turner, 81, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Rev. Justin Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00-8:30 PM.
The family will be accepting visitors on Monday evening at the funeral home 6:00PM-8:00PM

Virginia was born Monday, February 24, 1941 in Marlow, to Hampton E. McCown and Pearl Jewel (Calger) McCown. She attended Central High School and graduated from Marlow High School. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and also worked as the Court Clerk for the City of Marlow. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and loved God. Virginia enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking big meals for family gatherings, and sports. In her younger years, she was involved in several different charities. Virginia had many friends who she enjoyed spending time with. She was a blessing to many people and to know her was to love her. Virginia loved her family fiercely and valued the time she spent with them and the memories made. She will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include son, Terry Turner and wife Jana of Marlow, daughter, Tammy Fennel and husband Bruce of Duncan, grandchildren, Cale Turner, Rylie Turner, Logan Hall, Ryan Hall, and Colton Fennel, great-grandchildren, Mayci, Madelyn, Brock, Daylee, Brylee, Bryor, Corbyn, and Jacobi, brother, Rick McCown and wife Karen of Comanche

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Epp, and 3 brothers, Sammy, Bob, and Andy "Curly" McCown.

Pallbearers will be Virginia's grandsons.
