Obituary for Wayne White

Marlow: Cecil "Wayne" White, 86, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the New Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 1:00-8:00 PM, and Wednesday, June 22, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Wayne's family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8PM.

Wayne was born Sunday, December 8, 1935 in Stephens County, OK to H.C. and Vera May (Tarrant) White. He was a 1953 graduate of Marlow High School. Wayne lived in the Stephens County area all of his life and worked in carpentry as a custom home builder. He married the love of his life, Shirley Mae Armstrong, February 10, 1956 in Wichita Falls, TX. Wayne and Shirley celebrated more than 50 years of marriage until her passing in 2007. He was a former Vice President of AFR. Wayne enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center, working, gardening, and going dancing. He also enjoyed camping and going to the lake. Wayne loved his family and cherished any time spent with them. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include 2 sons, Michael White and Crystal Howard, and Steven White and Paula both of Marlow; daughter, Cherie Stamper and husband Johnny of Broken Arrow; 6 grandchildren, Justin Stamper of Broken Arrow, Joshua Stamper of Broken Arrow, Cory Stamper of Chesapeake, VA, Savannah Randolph of Guthrie, Zachary White of Marlow, and Cody White of Marlow; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Joyce Barrington of Marlow, Zelma Prince and husband Butch of Argyle, TX, and Meda Cates and husband Steve of Sun City West, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Jean Pannell and Rose June Ammons, and brother, Bobby White.

Pallbearers will be: Terry Crisman, Geary Heilman, Devon Douglass, Lynn Bailey, Ricky Wooten, and Dr. Matt Ivory.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ray Tilley, Jim Logue, Justin Stamper, Cory Stamper, Josh Stamper, Zachary White, and Cody White.
