Obituary

Rush Springs: William "Bill" Thomas Embrey, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Brandon Murray and Rev. Jack Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services. Family and Friend visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Bill was born Monday, July 17, 1933 in Louisville, KY, to Lawrence and Lettie (Jackson) Embrey. He had lived in the Rush Springs area since 2002 and previously lived in Blanchard. He served in the United States Airforce. Bill married the love of his life, Patricia Jane Hardin in Louisville, KY on March 26, 1955. They were married for 60 wonderful years before her passing on June 29, 2015. Bill served as an Independent Assembly Minister for the Tabler Gospel Tabernacle Church for more than 25 years as well as serving several other church previously. He served as a Minister for more than 55 years and supported the Harvest Evangelistic Ministry Association (Greg and Michelle McClanahan) in Mexico. Bill loved his family and spending time with them was something dear to him.

Survivors include, a son, William T Embrey, Jr. of Rush Springs, 6 daughters, Deborah Lytle and husband Gary of Blanchard, Theresa Keener and husband Mackey of McCloud, Pamula Slocum and husband Steve of Collinsville, Terrie Vasquez of Moore, Faith Evans and husband Larry of Coalgate, Joy Oliver and husband Steve of Moore, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Maynard Embrey of Borden, IN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jane Embrey, daughter-in-law, Debbie Embrey, his parents, 3 brothers, Bob Embrey, Sammy Embrey, Clayton, 3 sisters, Mary Beeler, Christine Vandiver, and Sue Reese.

Pallbearers will be: Shane Keener, Michael Lytle, Joshua Vasquez, Zac Embrey, Alex Wright, and Barry Barbee.

Honorary Pallbearer will be: Jason Calvert.
