Obituary for William Earl Morgan

William Earl Morgan, 91, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in Rush Springs, OK.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 30, 2022, at Vimy Ridge Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Rev. David Hale officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

William was born June 16, 1931 in Ninnekah, OK, to William Grant and Jewell (Swinney) Morgan. He married Hilary “Lee” Fawdry, on January 22, 1979 in Gainesville, TX. William and Lee celebrated more than 43 years of marriage until his passing.

He lived in the Grady County area most of his life, while also serving in the Air National Guard. He later retired from Wilson Foods after 31 years of service. After retiring, William began farming and raising cattle and pigs at the family farm in Rush Springs.

He enjoyed being outdoors and going camping and fishing. William was a devout Christian and loved to read his Bible. His family was most important, and he cherished any time spent with them. William will be deeply missed by many.

Survivors include his wife of the home; son William Russell Morgan of Tecumseh; 3 daughters, Kathy Cobb of McLoud, Sharon Henson and Shelly Kay Morgan both of Tuttle; 21 grandchildren and 43 great-grand children; brother Walter Morgan and wife Debra; sister, Marie Frances Roberts and husband Will J of Sayre; sisters in law, Lyvon Morgan, and Betty Morgan Bennett; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Bobby Morgan and Jack Morgan.
