Obituary for William Dale "Dale" Peters

Duncan: William "Dale" Peters, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in Duncan.

Dale was born Tuesday, October 29, 1957, in Duncan to James and Louise (Wininger) Peters. He went to
be with his Lord and Savior on March 28, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 65. There will be a
graveside service, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11am at Marlow Cemetery.

He was a Duncan High School graduate. He lived in Stephens County all his life. He worked for the City
of Duncan for 16 years starting in 1977, while working there he earned the nickname “Chinaman”, which
stayed with him even after he left the City of Duncan. After he left the City of Duncan, he went to work
for Gibson’s and was there until they closed their doors. He then went to work at Walmart, where he
worked until he retired in 2006.

He loved going fishing and camping with family and extended family, he loved riding ATV’s, flying model
airplanes and playing snooker with his cousin. He enjoyed going to rock concerts with his nephew and
cousin. He loved bowling and was on at least one bowling league and he loved taking care of the
neighborhood cats. He was a member of Freedom Biker Church. He was known by family and friends as
“Uncle Dale”. Family was the most important to him and he cherished any time he got to spend with
them.

Survivors include son, Ronny Peters, daughter, Carrie Sanders, 9 grandchildren, brother, Jim Peters of
Duncan and a sister, Myrna Peters of Marlow, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
